The Terms and Conditions listed below apply to all Greece: Mainland and Island.<\/p>\n

Rental period<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Minimum rental period is 1 day (24h) with acceptable length delay of 1 hour. Any further delay is charged as an extra day.<\/p>\n

Driver’s age and driving license<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Minimum age 23 years and maximum 70 years for all car groups. Driving license must be issued at least 1 year before rental start. Driver must hold a valid European (for EU countries) or International (for countries that don\u2019t belong to EU) driving license.<\/p>\n

Vehicle delivery and collection<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Delivery or collection of the cars at Drive offices is free. Some airports may offer shuttle bus service to a location outside the airport area.<\/p>\n

Delivery or collection to location other than above are charged extra with 25\u20ac. Locations with a distance over 40kms from nearest Drive office can be arranged on request with a charge of 0.50\u20ac\/km (minimum charge 35\u20ac).<\/p>\n

Any delivery or collection from 21:01 to 7:59 has an extra charge of 24\u20ac.<\/p>\n

For Milos island (port & airport) the out of hours fee applies from 21:01 to 08:59).<\/p>\n

Insurance policy and liability amounts<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Third party insurance covers:<\/strong>\u00a0a. Death and injury of third party up to 1.000.000\u20ac, b. Material damages to third parties up to 1.000.000\u20ac. – excluding the car of Drive.<\/p>\n

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):<\/strong>\u00a0Limits the renter’s responsibility for car damage from 930,00\u20ac up to 1.860,00\u20ac depending on the car group. This insurance does not cover damages on the bottom part of car (underbody), the wheels, tires, hubcaps, antenna, the mirrors and the interior.<\/p>\n

Full Damage Waiver (FDW):<\/strong>\u00a0This insurance is optional with extra cost per day. Limits the limited liability amount for car damage down to 0,00\u20ac from 930,00\u20ac, to 248,00\u20ac from 1.302,00\u20ac and to 558,00\u20ac from 1.860,00\u20ac, depending on the car group. FDW insurance does not cover damages on the bottom part of car, the wheels, hubcaps and tires.<\/p>\n

Theft Waiver (TW):<\/strong>\u00a0This insurance is included in the base rental rate. Minimizes the liability for car theft\u00a0or damages from theft attempt, to 930,00\u20ac, 1.302,00\u20ac or 1.860,00\u20ac depending on the car group. The renter is not covered in case of theft caused by negligence (eg when left the car unlocked or with the key in the ignition switch).<\/p>\n

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI):<\/strong>\u00a0This insurance is optional with extra cost per day. Covers the driver up to the sum of 15.000\u20ac for death, total or partial disability and 1.000\u20ac for hospital expenses.<\/p>\n

Insurance coverage is NOT valid:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • when transporting the vehicle by ferry<\/li>\n
  • if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs<\/li>\n
  • for damages caused by driving on unpaved roads<\/li>\n
  • for damage on the bottom part, wheels, hubcaps, tires and interior<\/li>\n
  • for loss of personal belongings<\/li>\n
  • for accidents caused by a driver not declared in the lease contract<\/li>\n
  • for loss or damage of the vehicle key<\/li>\n
  • for loss or destruction of Navi GPS device, child seats, snow chains or other additional equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The cost of damage or loss of the car is paid even if the tenant is insured by a credit card or other insurance company. In this case, the tenant is obliged to pay the entire vehicle repair or replacement costs and then ask for a refund from the credit card or another insurance provider.<\/p>\n

    IN CASE OF ACCIDENT THE TENANT IS OBLIGED REGARDLESS OF FAULT, TO COMPLETE AN ACCIDENT FORM, ACCORDING TO ARTICLE K70 OF THE GREEK LAW.<\/p>\n

    Deposit and Credit card Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    ACCEPTED: MasterCard, Visa. Debit card not accepted.<\/p>\n

    A deposit amount of 930,00 to 1860,00 EUR (depending on car group) will be held against your credit card for the duration of the rental. Your deposit is a guarantee held in the event of damage\/theft of the vehicle. This will be automatically released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period. Please note that this does not represent your total excess liability which can be found in the Insurance policy and liability amounts section. If the excess is 0 EUR, the deposit is set to 100,00 EUR. This amount will be held in the event of charges not covered by any insurance (ie. damaged tire or bottom part of the vehicle, traffic violetions, missing fuel etc.)<\/p>\n

    NOT ACCEPTED: Prepaid cards, cash will not be accepted.<\/p>\n

    A valid credit card in the first name and surname (no abbreviations) of the lead driver must be presented at the rental desk in order to pre-authorise a deposit. The credit card(s) must be embossed and a PIN number may be required.<\/p>\n

    In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver’s name, the car rental office may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.<\/p>\n

    Additional driver<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In a car rental only the driver is covered by all above insurances. If other drivers are going to drive the rented vehicle they must be declared in the lease contract at the start of the rental period. Required documents are identity card or passport and a valid driving license. The additional driver service is charged per day.<\/p>\n

    Extras<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    On request are available equipment like Baby Seats, Snow Chains and GPS Navi with a charge per day (maximum charge 10 days). They should be mentioned in the reservation.<\/p>\n

    Fuel policy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Fuel is measured in 8ths. All cars they should be returned with the same quantity of fuel in the tank as on delivery. If the car is returned with less fuel, there is a charge of 12\u20ac for refuel service plus the cost of the missing fuel. Fuel left in the tank is not refundable.<\/p>\n

    Transportation by Ferry boats<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Authorization from Drive is required and has a charge of 25\u20ac per direction.<\/p>\n

    Limitations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The cars are not allowed to be used for: Driving outside the Greek borders, driving off-road, carrying heavy objects or bad use in general. Vehicles returned in bad condition and with extremely dirty interior (e.g food stains, coffee, etc.) will be charged for special cleaning with cost up to 98\u20ac.<\/p>\n

    Administrative expenses<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In case of an accident or car damage, there is a non-refundable fee of 62,00\u20ac in order to cover the administrative expenses.<\/p>\n

    Traffic violations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines. In case that the renter will not pay the fine, Drive will charge the fine cost plus administrative expenses.<\/p>\n

    Payment methods and security of transactions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The rent can be paid with one of the following ways:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • credit card, debit card and prepaid card of Visa, Mastercard, Maestro.<\/li>\n
    • electronic wallet Masterpass<\/li>\n
    • PayPal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      All card payments are processed through Alpha Bank’s Alpha e-Commerce electronic payment platform and uses TLS 1.2 encryption with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption protocol. Encryption is a way to encode the information until it reaches its intended recipient, which will be able to decode it using the appropriate key.<\/p>\n

      Regardless of payment a credit card (Visa, Mastercard) is required for guarantee. The car rental office will pre-authorize the liability amount until the end of the rental period.<\/p>\n

      Booking cancellation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      In case of cancellation up to 15 days before departure date, the full prepaid amount is refundable. In case of cancellation within the period of 15 days prior to departure Drive will hold the amount for one (1) day of rental and refund the rest.<\/p>\n

      Rental agreement<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      During receipt of the vehicle a rental agreement is signed and contains the above terms and conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
